Zolfo Springs Elementary School is a traditional red-brick building located in the rural heartland area of Hardee County. The school's main building was built in 1967 to replace the original two-story school building in use since the 1930s. It is one of five Title I elementary schools in the district. School families live in a wide-spread area over the southern part of the county necessitating bus transportation for a majority of the 600 students in grades kindergarten through fifth.
At Zolfo Springs Elementary School, teachers strive for excellence by setting high expectations for all students. Our mission statement is, "Achieving excellence in education in a safe, positive, learning environment." We are proud to say that our students, parents, and teachers are all members of our great big “ZSE family.”
